Activities for 2011/2012

August 26 - August 28.  Experience Summer in Vermont. Contact Heather Shea @610-346-7875 for further details.

October 16th - Fall Bike Ride (from small park just off the Rt. 202 bridge on New Jersey side). After the ride, you’re invited back to Don and Sandy's townhouse for a covered dish dinner.  Call Don or Sandy Petrie at 215-491-5205.

October 16th - The Ski Instructors of Bear Creek are hosting a Ski & Snowboard Sale. The sale will feature new and used hard and soft goods consisting of: Skis, Snowboards, Boots, Goggles, Bindings, Hats, Poles, Gloves, Pants, Coats, Vests, Base-layers, and much much more.  The sale takes place at the resort from 9am-2pm during the resort's Fall Festival.

October 22nd - Doo Wop Party at Worcester Golf Club 1600 Green Hill   Road, Collegeville, PA 19426 (610-222-0200) from 6:30 - 10:00. $43.00 p/p includes live entertainment, dancing buffet and open bar. December 9th - Byers Choice, Charles Dicken's The Christmas Carol. Doors open 6:00 p.m., show starts at 7:00 p.m. Cockatail party to follow at Judy Naylor's home, 215-822-6814. This is a popular event. Put some spark in your Christmas

December 16th - Annual Eggnog Party - Home of Karen Iochum along with live Christmas carols on the grand piano.

First Friday's  Jan 6th,  Feb 3rd and  Mar 2nd 2012- Russ plans to have the 'Friday Night at Bear Creek'  skiing for anyone who would like to attend (drive yourself or carpool) Details will appear in future Liftlines and emailblasts. Members will meet at 4:30 pm to ski and then have dinner at the mountain (approx 6-6:30 pm) with more skiing to follow.  Seniors 70 and over are free.  See Ken Foster for ski ticket discounts.  

February 14th - "Lift of Love" -  Bear Creek presents speed dating on the "A" Lift this Valentine's Day. From 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. Meet the person of your dreams on the ski lift and fall in love.

Sunday, March 25th - Hagey bus trip to Washington, DC for the "cherry blossoms".

 


 
 
LEARN TO SKI PROGRAM

 

Our club membership benefit is the chance to participate in the FREE Learn-to-ski program. The program ranges in skill level  from never-ever skiers through those making open parallel turns. Classes were held at Spring Mountain on six nights (time and date to be announced soon).
